Yes, many scientists agree that we're warming the climate, but I don't agree with them, nor do I agree they are the vast majority. Why don't I agree with them? Because the simple fact is that the climate has not warmed much. The single most significant metric when discussing global warming is the temperature of the globe and since about 1995 there has been no significant warming. Did you know that? Don't take my word for that, see the facts for yourself at Junk Science. These are from satellite observations. For at least 13 years the linear trend has been slight cooling. Why shouldn't this be brought to the attention of the scientists? Why is it denial? What does it deny?

Because as you well know, the vast majority of scientists agree that the climate has in fact warmed and the cause is man made. The debate needed now is about how humanity can best respond to save untold suffering. That's why Monckton can find no one to talk to.

I think a better question is why don't the people who believe in CAGW want to debate the issues? What the climate is doing? Bob, the climate is chaotic! Nobody knows what it's doing. If you disagree, then, just for starters, you might like to explain to us why the climate has failed to warm for about 15 years, when the models told us to expect it.

Graham has pulled out, leaving Monckton to chat with another denier as he can find no one else to legitimise him.

[ad hom removed], let alone what the climate is doing.

Excellent. I see Kennedy Graham (Green Party) has put himself forward to debate Christopher Monckton for the Auckland spot at PRINZ

I suspect this might be an entertaining evening.

Do you know the dates, times and places where Lord Monckton will be speaking in N.Z.? I agree with his thinking and would very much like to hear him speak. All the best with your good work.
Veronica, Southland, N.Z.

I have actually exchanged a couple of emails with Lord M. I did so after discovering that we are both graduates of Churchill College Cambridge (he was before my time. He studied Classics, myself Mathematics)

He was very gracious in his email responses (he did actually respond, which is often unusual these days with "public figures").

I don't consider myself a "fan", nor would I expect him to think that anyone else should think so either. He often says "go and find out for yourself".

I couldn't offer better advice, really.

wow, Lord Monckton will come to NZ? the belly of the "we cause global warming" sheep of NZ? ... AWESOME..... I hope, but doubt, NZ lamestream press will cover this... The NZ herald, as we all know, follows the far leftist and UN tripe which is the AGW religion...

I hope the logic, wit and truth of Monckton's words can reach the ears of many in NZ

OK I'll pray for it, too
