Thank you Barry for a well wrought response to some of the most ill-informed and arrogant piffle that could ever be arranged in sentences.

George Laking makes no effort to research the methodology of the NZ temperature series compilation but is so confidant in his bone-headed grasp of the topic (gleaned from like-minded bone-heads probably) that he has the audacity to document his "opinion" in the public record - what an ignoramus. Thank YOU George for the insight.

Now that Laking has shot his own credibility down in flames (Ken Perrott style) we have Georges golden nuggets to refer to whenever he ventures his "opinion" in the future e.g. (George from Hot Topic):-

"Doctors understand what’s going on — being familiar with scientific method, and the abuse of science by vested interests, and standing far enough outside the mainstream to be able to see this"

"Familiarity" seems to have bred contempt in George-the-Doctor's "understanding" and he's "standing far enough outside the mainstream" to be standing in La La Land.

George has no right to drag the medical fraternity (his "vested interest") into his particular brand of the "abuse of science" if that abuse is based on fallacy. Hopefully other Doctors similarly disposed will now think and research before attempting the same unfounded self-immolation approach.
